Gerard is authorised by the Insolvency Service of Ireland to carry on practice as a Personal Insolvency Practitioner. He is a member of the Chartered Accountancy in Ireland since he qualified in 1978. Since then he has combined his entrepreneurial abilities in establishing his own accountancy practice, Gerard Leahy & Co. (www.leahyandco.com), alongside developing several successful commercial and retail ventures. He has had several articles published as well as a book on Economics.

In 2010 Gerard became an Accredited Mediator and in 2013 received his Personal Insolvency Practitioner certificate.

Between his financial, business and mediation skills Gerard is in a very strong position to appreciate the financial constraints businesses and families are facing in the current climate. His diverse business knowledge will be extremely valuable to those facing indebtedness, providing a practical and workable solution for all parties involved.
